Dream, dream, dream

And like the Everly Brothers song goes: "All I have to do is dream". Yeah, we all wish it were that simple: dream and it shall be done. I believe:
"los sueños son las semillas de la realidad"
in English:
"dreams are the seedlings of reality"
What we dream extends from the spiritual realm into the physical realm. Because what we have in our minds was put there by a Divine Energy, a Force, God, you can name it as you wish it's all the same. The One. And yet everyday we wake up and set out to live a lifeless life, we go out to work, come back home, eat, sleep, and the next day we do exactly the same thing. Where are our God given dreams in all this? Is that what we are supposed to be doing?
I believe each one of us is here on a mission that is intended to make our lives happier, our days brighter, and other people as well. Don't you dream of a better life? a brighter future? loving to wake up and start your day? instead of waking up thinking: one more day at this place, I can't take it, I still have 5 more months 'till my next vacation!
I think we're not suppose to live that way, thinking about the what if's, thinking how it would have been or should have been. If we are the makers of our own destiny: have we forsaken ourselves? have we tricked ourselves into believing there is nothing more to aspire to? I had a group of friends once who made me remember that we can dream, dream BIG, and do what is in our power to make those dreams a reality by finding a way to prosper in our lives. And by prospering I'm talking about the material sense, because we can prosper mentally and spiritually but the material world also has to go hand in hand with them or else how can we be happy if we have nothing to eat, can't pay our bills and can't even go out to the movies. Everything has to be in sync. We have to look for ways that we can prosper, be happy, and feel whole.
Can you stop at least for 15 seconds today to ask yourself: do I feel whole? complete? happy? joyful? relax? are you doing what you always wanted? are you living prosperity?

Then what can I do to help you? What can I do to help you understand that you need to make the first step?

Remember life is about making choices, taking risks and more importantly, about evolution.

Orphan Annie or Orphan Blame

The other day my good friend J. told me
"blame is always an orphan"
or in Spanish:
"la culpa siempre es huérfana".
He left me speechless. And you know what, he's right. We always want to blame someone, something or everyone except ourselves. We think, we choose, decide, act, and still when something goes wrong we cry and whine and blame. Why is it so hard to accept blame for our wrongdoings, our mishaps and our terrible decisions. Life is about experiences. It's about falling, about standing, about helping others and ourselves, about lifting and empowering others and ourselves. Life is simple and yet we insist in so many irrational complications.
Who do you blame on a daily basis? Your boss? Your husband, Your parents? God? Why don't you blame yourself? Why stop blaming altogether and start accepting, start acting upon the fact that you need to acknowledge the facts that surround us. We need to purposefully lead our lives into a brighter way of living. Not just living but concsiously and purposefully living. But how do we go about doing this, it's always easier said than done. I believe in taking baby steps, living one day at a time, I always like to read the Bible from time to time because it has so many teachings and there is always one in particular that comes to mind:
Matthew 6 34
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble

So just chill out and relax. Take the day as it comes. I trust we can do that: one day at a time.

Yesterday...

Yesterday was a pretty intense day, you know just one of those days were everything seems to be out of balance. The day actually started off as a perfect day but suddenly the energy shifted and it all just came out of whack. I went and bought my dog, Precioso's food and I got charged double didn't notice until I had left the store so I had to go back, I bought something on the web for $29 and suddenly got a charge of $178.00, I went to get lunch and they were out of falafel, which I totally love, so I ordered a pasha salmon in grape leaves instead and 30 minutes later I threw up and finally but not least I left a 6 refill prescription for my mom at the pharmacy and they filled out the order for no future prescriptions. I called at 8:45pm and nobody picked up. I mean I really was about to cry but suddenly I thought to myself: this day is almost over and you don't have to do everything today so just relax. There are just some things that you have no control over. I trusted each one of the people I made business with and they made a mistake and I made a mistake because I wasn't paying attention. So I went and took a hot shower, and I mean a pipping hot shower and it was so soothing it was just what I needed. I went to bed and as I was falling asleep my friend J. called me I told him all the things I had been through during the day and he just said in Spanish: "no cojas lucha", which means "stop fighting it" and I did. I woke up relieved, it's a new day, a new beginning and all I can say is that was all yesterday.

I know I'm always writing about how to live a positive life and how great life is but I want you to know I'm normal, just like you. I have my ups and downs and I make mistakes but the decisions I make I try to do them as consciously as I can, knowing that for every cause there is an effect. I live with intent and I live with passion. I love to be able to wake up revitalized knowing I have 24 more hours ahead of me, 24 hours to make my dreams come true!!

Have a GREAT DAY guys!!

From Petty to Pretty

Everyday we encounter people who seem to be impeding our rightful way. We may mind our own business but they just keep throwing dirt at our souls and our heart. They don't even have to talk yet we feel the spears coming out their eyes, luckily I've come across The Book and started reading about how we can dust off the dirt our enemies throw at us. We don't have to start any battles, get sad or upset because it's simply not worth it. There's no need to fight insignificant battles that hinder our energy because when you stay in faith God will fight your battles for you and trust me there's no losing when you have Him by your side.
Just the other day I thought I wasn't going to be able to handle a situation that I was going through with my personal finances yet I decided to trust and let go of the frustrations, the fear, the upsets and today, November 28th, just three weeks later the situation has not only been dealt with in a swiftly manner but He has continued to bless me in such a way that I haven't felt so much peace and gratitude in a long time. Friends, there is no need to dampen our lives with unnecessary thoughts put there by the envious at heart. We can move along with a great positive attitude, rise above the obstacles and surpass the situations, the negative people and transform those petty thoughts into pretty thoughts.
We can decide to live a beautiful life every day, nothing is permanent, as I wrote on one of my previous posts: seasons change. This may not have been a good season for you but it will change. Everything changes, nothing ever stays the same. When winter passes spring comes back again with the sun shinning through the new grown leaves, birds fly around and we can begin to smell all the delectable flowers once again. We just need to stay in faith, trust and it will all pass. In my line of work I get to hear people cry about their personal and financial situations all day long and they are people from all walks in life and from all over the country, in fact, from various countries yet they all have one thing in common they have let the enemy settle into their hearts and have lost all hope and all faith that the situation will pass, that they will overcome all the obstacles and that they have  God given strength to come out as victors from the battle. It's so sad, yet the few minutes that I talk to them I try to instill in their hearts the hope that there will be a better tomorrow but only they can decide when they will stop being the victims and become the victors they were born to be. They need to change their mindset and reprogram themselves for a brighter future and I can assure you their season will change. Your season will change!

Freedom

Each and every one of us wakes up to the idea that we are free. That we have earned our freedom, be it from the battles our ancestors fought or just think of it as a given and don't even give it much thought.
But, are we really free?
Are we entitled to our freedom?
Why?
If we are free, can we choose to do what we really want? Because if we are free, then why are there cameras over the streetlights, why are there laws, why are there so many enforcement agencies. There placed to guard, serve and protect, but from who? from ourselves when we over-exercise that freedom?

Freedom is also a state of mind. Most of the people I talk to feel imprisoned, burdened by their own thoughts, feelings and emotions. I can say I have felt that way even if it's for a millisecond but not much more because that can be the "point of no return". A place where we begin to wonder why can't I be free, why can't I just be. I think freedom must first come from within not from any other source. That's why our freedom is conditional. We choose to feel free when we can do, feel, and act as we want but when any of the instances in our lives is stopped from evolving or even happening we start to feel anxious, panic attacks start lurking around and freedom becomes a commodity instead of a given.
How can we surpass those feelings? Is it even possible? I think we can, although we'd have to reprogram ourselves for that. But,we can do anything, right? We most certainly can.
I believe we can choose our path. We can choose a better way of thinking.
And we can most certainly choose to be free.
Are you free?

A Bright Future

It's been months since I sit and write, but it feels like years. I've been going through a whirlwind of situations that ultimately have been clearing up the storm I have created on my own. Now, if you have read my past blog posts you know I have always been such a positive creature and this time it's no different. Although I write with a different feeling, relief maybe? Well, I feel like I have awoken from a deep dark sleep and now see a bright future ahead.

I can finally say  the winds in my life have shifted: a new position at work, a new relationship, a recently remodeled home and a much deserved renovation of mind and spirit are just a few of the changes that I have undergone. And with all that has been going on life just got a little more pleasant, maybe much more than I suspected. I wish I had known such events were lying just ahead waiting for me to take that step that would change things. But one waits and time just flies by. I just learned that you just have to throw yourself, risk it all and hope for the best (as always). You know, hope is one of your best allies if not the best. You should never stop hoping, never stop dreaming and daring yourself to go after your God given dreams. There is no way we will be happy if we don't fulfill our destinies. And there is no one that can keep us from our destinies but ourselves. So keep pressing forward, keep dreaming and keep your mind and spirit evolving, I know I will.
