The other day my good friend J. told me
"blame is always an orphan"or in Spanish:
"la culpa siempre es huérfana".He left me speechless. And you know what, he's right. We always want to blame someone, something or everyone except ourselves. We think, we choose, decide, act, and still when something goes wrong we cry and whine and blame. Why is it so hard to accept blame for our wrongdoings, our mishaps and our terrible decisions. Life is about experiences. It's about falling, about standing, about helping others and ourselves, about lifting and empowering others and ourselves. Life is simple and yet we insist in so many irrational complications.
Who do you blame on a daily basis? Your boss? Your husband, Your parents? God? Why don't you blame yourself? Why stop blaming altogether and start accepting, start acting upon the fact that you need to acknowledge the facts that surround us. We need to purposefully lead our lives into a brighter way of living. Not just living but concsiously and purposefully living. But how do we go about doing this, it's always easier said than done. I believe in taking baby steps, living one day at a time, I always like to read the Bible from time to time because it has so many teachings and there is always one in particular that comes to mind:
Matthew 6 34
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble
So just chill out and relax. Take the day as it comes. I trust we can do that: one day at a time.
